After the classes were done, it was time to plan the cake. In the process I baked at least 10 cakes and iced them along the way.
Each cake, I learned a new technique, a better way to do things and as the days went past, the idea of Rohini's cake slowly started coming through.

In the meanwhile, I will take you through my cake journey.

Here is the first rainbow cake.
This is the first technique you will learn in the Wilton's method. Using a star tip and colored icing, its the easiest cake to ice..

The Oven Delicacies Blog

This blog has been in the making for a while now. Of course, I dont think anyone who knew me would have ever thought that I would blog about food, let alone bake!
For the past one year, I have been baking and it all started with us planning the first birthday of our daughter. We wanted a custom cake for her, something we would never have thought of, had it not been for TLC and cake boss. I enrolled in Michaels for the cake decoration classes and can safely say, I was the worst one around. Everyone would come with home made buttercream and from scratch cakes , exchanging recipes. I bought the buttercream in a tub and the cakes were from betty crocker mixes.

This blog is about the stories associated with each cake. I will try to post the cake recipes as well.
